Trailer Training for Your B+E Test
Make sure you’re not pulling above your weight
The law has changed about the trailer weight you are allowed to pull if you obtained your ordinary Category B car licence after January 31st 1997. If you ever pull a box trailer, caravan or horse box your insurance may well be invalid and you could incur a fine and even penalty points on your licence.
You need a B+E licence which means taking a B+E driving test with a DVSA examiner, and passing it with the help of the EasyPass high quality, highly effective Trailer Training Course covering all relevant aspects of towing:
- Towing Law
- Hitching and Unhitching
- Loading
- Stability
- Reversing
- Safe handling of trailers and caravans
It takes a special skill to pull a bulky weight along the highway, and specialist instructors to train you. We’re proud to say we’re one of the only general driving schools to have instructors with specialist trailer training experience operating in Newcastle, Gateshead, Sunderland, Durham and the surrounding area.
To be sure of pulling your weight on the right side of the law, choose between a five, ten or fifteen hour training programme (test included). Not sure which to choose? Simply take an Assessment Lesson, following which your instructor will advise you.
